“Homework Eats Dog and Other Woeful Tales” was written by Alan Haehnel and is directed by Engela Edwards, assisted by Rachel Edwards. It centers around “the hour of desperation,” that magical time just before the immensely important, grade-devastating assignment by high school science teacher Dr. Kobekeaneski is due. Each year, students frantically scramble to come up with methods of escape, and this year is no exception. They trot out a litany of outrageous excuses, all to no avail.

General admission tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for children 18 and younger. Repeats are free with a ticket stub. Tickets are available online at www.apachawaii.org, by phone 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, or at the theater box office one hour before the performance.
